how does freeipods.com work and similar?
How does freeipods.com work and how can I do something similar? Is there a free way to start a freeipod giveaway?
I was wondering if that was a good money making idea or too many people using it? Or do too many people not trust it? Or is it illegal or an ill eagle? __________________

The whole Ipods thing has really been used up IMO. People are still doing ok with such things though. "Free Gas Card", "Free Designer Bag", etc...
The way they work is somewhat simple: Having such a promo, you are the middle-middle-middle man really. Like so... 1. You offer Free "XYZ" in exchange for the surfer signing up for X number of sponsored offers. Said sponsored offers are people you are an affiliate of, which pay you "XYZ" for people signing-up for trials of their service and whatnot (ie. Bookclubs, dvd rental, etc) or requesting college info etc. *Special arraignments most be made with said sponsors of yours to promote their offers in this “incentivizing” fashion. 2. You then build a site which slowly gets them to sign-up for one offer after the next. Always placing the one they are least likely to do last. Like “Free Satellite TV programming for 30 days”… By this time you have gotten then to sign-up for other offers but they never follow through the last step to claim their reward. So you just made money and didn’t have to give them anything. 3. You need to build a landing page like the popular: “Enter Zip Code” or “E-mail address to see if you qualify for your free “XYZ”. The Zip-code thing has become madly popular because most of the people you are promoting only accept US leads. Hence the Zip-code. 4. You sign-up as an advertiser on a large ad network and pay others per lead to promote your site. i.e. Pay the ad network $1.50 for every Zipcode entered or whatever… The business model of this is pretty dirty if you ask me… But, that’s life sometimes. I’ve never done such a thing, but have made PLENTY of coin promoting such sites through the ad network I deal with. Want to do the same? See Sig… There are also many other offers you can promote through the network. |

Nola, I checked out your sig and was wondering if Primaryads offers any type of ad tools such as plugins, or if it's all just text/banner links?
"7. Most offers only accept USA based traffic." How many are most? 50%? 90%? Thanks __________________

As to Ad tools, they have HTML for e-mail if you have an opt-in list, creatives for pop-ups, etc.. They also have a banner rotation tool. Quote:

He responded: "I don't know of any offers that allow foreign traffic". When he said foreign, he was speaking of outside the U.S. and Canada. All offers accept U.S. and several accept Canadian... Just from glancing over them, it appears that about 10% or so accept leads from Canada. I just wanted to clear that up, so that I wouldn't be misleading anyone. I was incorrect when I stated “A few offers also accept traffic from Canada and whatnot”. There is no “whatnot”. This will have no effect on anyone who wishes to promote campaigns via PPC search engines because with any decent PPC engine you can Geo-Target your campaign to only receive traffic from the US. |

mainstream money sounds interesting. I will look it up to see what it is about.
I figured that the free blah blah was all about sponsers. What is frustrating that I saw was that one of the free ipod sponsers is that if I pay x amount for first month of blockbuster online, but if I use blockbusters website I get the first month free. __________________

I wanted to set up a few sites like freeipods a while back and I should have. Well I still am going to make some of these sites but with other products. I will link them all up to one network kind of the way gratis network does it. I hope to be as successful if not even more successful then them!! Wish me luck guys!!

I would want to have a diffrent spin with it than just freeipods method of doing it. I am trying to figure out how to make it fresh if I want to do it. I like giving things away but I can't afford to give everyone in this forum a free camera, software, etc. I would have to figure out something fresh so I could do it.
Off topic is HimNola the one I should contact if I want to sign up for Primary ads. I noticed that the site where I got the link from was called HimNola and wondering if that was the same one on this forum. __________________
