So where does pagerank start anyway?
The only way you can get pagerank is by being linked to from a page that already has it, right?
This implies that way up the chain somewhere there are pages that have "built-in" pagerank to feed into the system, otherwise no pages would have PR to pass. All sources of information that I have found thus far tell me that this is not true, so that must mean that PR can be built in other ways too, right? Inbound link quantity maybe? Anyone have any thoughts or info they're willing to share? |
