Forex?

Anyone tried Forex or into it a lot.
I found this program called Marketiva who give you a free $5 to test out in trying to profit.
Well i gave it a go and im now at a smacking $8 profit

All for free im just imagining if i threw in like $500 that would have been like $800 profit or something, pretty good, for those who want to have a little play you get a free $5 to play with and ofcourse you can always play with real money.

Best one ive tried all the rest you gotta put real money in to start.

I was doing forex a couple of years ago.. mostly daytrading on news, and making a minimal profit.

I think the minimal for sucessful forex trading is around 10k or ? leveraged at around 3-5 ratio.

I gave up, becuase i had to no time for that, also the profits I was seeing were not worth it, rarely did I make a 10 pip profit, most of the time it was 5 or so (after broker commisions).

If you want to trade you should do it full time.. fucking around part time will only make you lose money.

On the other hand, my mate who started approx the same time as me is now making nice ammounts.. not sure exactly what his investment or leverage is, but I know he's making a couple hundred pips per month .. al on US, EUR, GBP, and CHF of course.. A couple hundred pips, is easily 20-30% growth per month.

On the yet another hand, he got wiped out several times during his 1st year of full trading, and he was learning the trade for almost a year before he started making consistent profits.

Forex ? Sure if you like to gamble

.. Dont leverage at 100 or so though.. easy way to get wiped out

A good resource for laymans interested in forex and currency movement in general is

If you're lucky you can even make money offline lol.. minimal though.. The way to do it is first to find some bank which has a low spread buy/sell. The next thing to do is mark the major events in dailyfx calendar.. like rate changes from central banks, or a while ago the USA non-farm payroll was also popular lol... then when data is released.. you watch the graph.. big change ? like 1-2% ? (btw.. this happens only once per month or so).. run to the bank and buy currency (they will still have the old exchange ratio, because they usually dont update so fast).. come back the other day and sell

Example.. your bank spread on EUR / USD is .. 1.2200 for buying usd from bank.. and 1.2220 for selling USD to bank, so its a 20 pip spread.

You watch dailyfx... the current ratio livetime.. prior to news is lets say.. 1.2210... news hits (Europe releases bad economic numbers or some bomb attack in PAris or whatever).. euro takes a dump.. goes to 1.1900 in under a minute...

you run to the bank.. buy usd at 1.2220 from bank ...
you come back tomorrow.. (the bank changed rates.. now their new rate is .. 1.1950 for buying usd from bank and 1.1970 for selling usd to bank).. you sell your usd at 1.1970

Congrats. .you just made a 230 pip profit... if you bought usd for 1k euros.. you'd get 1220 usd on day one.. on day two.. you'd sell these back for 1020 euros..

you got 20 euros

... thats 2% in 1 day.. not bad..

Thats the theory.. the praxis is that ..
a) banks have huge spreads
b) some do updates on 30 minutes or less
c) major economic data that shakes the levels at 300 pips or so.. only happens a few times per year
d) you're still risking it
e) you dont do it with 1k euros.. but 10-20 k

Still.. its a nice game lol.. instead of poker.. try this

I used to also daytrade stocks on Nasdaq, mostly on technical indicators lol... If you want to die fast, daytrading stocks is probably the best way to do it.. The stress level when you see a few k's wiped out or gained in seconds is second to none

..

I stopped it, becuase 1-2 hours of active trade pretty much fucked my concentration for the rest of the day.. Some things are just not worth doing no matter what the profit potential is. Then again I think I lost around 10% of my initial investment, was doing absolutely amazing for a while, but then I growed balls and starting daytrading on events and I think that shorting taser on the same day they get a new order for a whole fucking state of policemen..is really not a very smart thing to do .. lol.. easy to be smart now .. hahaha

I do only mutuals now.. no stress.. no eye breaking on multiple monitors... a grandma's favourite.

Fuck forex and daytrading stocks.. have a life, watch some porn

What I mean is, if you do porn and you read about stocks and forex you think.. oh fuck.. i'm busting my balls over this biz.. and in forex or stocks they make huge money.. a couple % per day and so on.. Well let me ask you this.. why did you get in porn ? I speculate that you heard somewhere.. porn is really good. .you make a site and then money comes rolling in shitloads. Well as you can see thats not the case... You dont just make a site.. and money doesnt just come rolling in shitloads.. I takes work, it takes know-how, it takes time.

Now what makes you think forex, stocks, or basically anything else is any different ?

PS.. I dont usually go on a posting spree, but I am writing a script for some DVD production and I think I OD-ed on caffeine.

is a bit inaccurate.. As far as I remember there are at least a few forex brokers who let you test-trade on their platform for free.

If anyone is really considering going into this, then google on forex platform review or something like that. The platform - trading tool is the most important aspect, second only to the pip spread that the broker boasts and optionally the anti pip-slip gurantee some brokers offer.

I think they still offer free demo accounts, and their spreads are one of the best in the industry...

A notice on trading on demos versus trading for real.

When you trade on demo, your transactions dont slip, while in reality working with real money they do. What is a slip ? A slip is when you sell or buy for a price that is actually different than the one you wanted to sell or buy. The reason for this is that forex can be very fast, in fact so fast that the exchange ratio changes in the miliseconds it takes you to see information on screen and execute the transaction (of course some brokers regulary enable their clients to slip... I think this is a bit like shaving on a paysite.. if you have the option.. why not take a little extra cream for the family .. lol)

A slip is usually 1-3 pips per transaction.. So if you are trading on demo and you make 5 pip profits.. in reality.. you made 1-2 pip profit, or actually you could have even made a loss.

I think I pretty much covered the basics on forex now. If anyone has any other questions.. feel free to icq me. Or alternatively we can also talk about some content

It gave me a little time of usual business to give it a shot.

Nope man its real $5 cash they give you kind of two wallets. one real money and one virtual you can play with both. I tested virtual first was onto a winner, so quickly jumped in with the real $5 they gave. Its not my cup-of-tea really to be honest. But when theres nothing else to do on a quick break i set a few things up. Cause you can set stuff up to auto close at specific profit levels which is easy

in forex need a lot of money to get more profit you can make about 1% per day but you must be good in forex
