adsense- what is considered a good ctr?

although I've had an adsense account for two years, I've never used it until recently.

yesterday and today I can tell the site has been indexed and I'm starting to see impressions.

37 impressions yesterday, 84 today, avg of 4.43% CTR.

so my question is, what is considered a good CTR? I'm letting the site run untouched (design/keyword) all week so that I will have real numbers to work with, and if it's below what it should be then I'll try to improve on it. otherwise I can just continue to update and move to the next.

Well, 4.43% sounds ok for me. My sites with adsense have CTR's from 1,3% up to 18% this month, depends if the site is optimized for adsense or not. Have a look here: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/05/...h-quality.html

so far for 05/24 - 05/26:

impressions - 1,809
clicks - 52
ctr - 2.87%
ecpm - $1.51
earnings - $2.73

If your getting click thru rate as low as these then you need to look at why your traffic is not clicking on the ad's, could be a number of things:

you use another main sponsor
traffic is not targeted
ad placement

my ctr is 12.83% this month which I am not happy with!
Ecpm is $28.59 Once again I'm not happy with this either
1,118,806 impressions so far, which is down on what I was doing however traffic comes and goes and its just a sign I need to get building.

CTR could be from 2%-20%, but i like to see how much i can earn per 1000visitors.
Then i change ads color and position to gain more Ecpm.

PS - People in Adsense TOS there is "Don't show your Clicks, CTR and other data to anyone"

I'm pretty sure it's mostly placement/colors etc, so I'm going to play around with that this morning and see how I do the next few days.
