Getting Banned by Adsense

i see so many people writing about getting banned by adsense

many people who claim they never clicked their own adds seem to get banned nevertheless

any thoughts?

well they could be lying about clicking their own ads, the majority of their clicks came from ip's too close to the account holder's own ip, the same people kept clicking the ads, the majority of the traffic was purchased exit traffic, hitbots, too much traffic with no referrer, they tried to send "cleaned" adult traffic and got caught, they tried to send bulk warez traffic to a car insurance site, the site had disproportionately too much traffic, etc. or a competitor found the site and fucked them through any of the above methods, and google doesn't really feel they're worth it. there are a ton of reasons.

it's also possible google is prejudiced against publishers from certain countries that traditionally have suspicious amounts of fraud...i really have no idea. if that's true, it sucks for the honest ones, but that's the way it always goes with any prejudice.

i haven't had a problem knock on wood, neither have the majority of people with adsense accounts. make your ads blend in with the content, don't build sites for expensive keywords and send cheap untargeted crap traffic, be smart with who you link to, use channels to keep track of what's performing and what sucks, and you'll be fine.

The problem with that is Google doesn't start you out with super high paying ads...and then you still have to get productive traffic to the site...not the easiest thing in the world to do when the expensive keywords are plastered everywhere and the competition is cutthroat.

I started out with Adsense thinking I'd just do the expensive keywords and the lesser traffic would be mitigated by the high CPC's...doesn't really work like that unfortunately...and advertisers paying high bids on Adwords can bid less on the Adsense network and often do. Plus there is the new smart-pricing bullshit, if you read the adsense blog, about how Google adjusts bids based on the likelihood of conversions for the advertisers.

Check this link for more info http://www.jensense.com/archives/200...orly_conv.html ...no one really knows all the factors that can make Google decide your site sucks, smart-price you, and pay less. But if you were planning to use rehashed articlecity content and 3 large rectangles on a plain white page...

Don't make the same mistake everyone else does...research the competition on keywords you want to make sites for, rank well for those terms, and work on your on-page adsense optimization to boost CTR. I have personally found that when your ads mesh in with the content and don't standout as obvious ads, that you get much better CTR. Like matching the ad unit link color with the link color of the rest of the page, making the border invisible and matching the background colors, putting ads right near the navigation, putting a medium or large rectangle right above the content, etc.

It's easier to get inbound links for terms that aren't super-competitive if you're a new'ish site, easier to get a good position in the serp's, easier to duplicate the strategy with templates, etc. No one is saying you have to confine yourself to 3 cent clicks, but you may have much better results if you don't aim for the super competitive, commonly scammed, upper echelon adsense clicks.

PPL get banned because they do something against the TOS like click fraud of clicking your own ads or have text like please visit my sponsor support the site or shit like that.

You can protect yourself against clickfraud by installing a script that will not allow a surten amount of clicks, and you can protect yourself from clicking by your own ads y installing a tool ad the AdSense site

For the CTR i have fund out that white pages with white ads that have no border and blue links do the best for your CTR, also the big rectangle is way better for your CTR then lets say the 468x60 banner size.

Also removing the link: "advertise on this site" does good things for your CTR, i have a lot a AdSense sites atm and i am still experimenting with what is the best way of getting those clicks, but i have to say that it is catching up with my porn income, maybe it is time to switch ho knows

Exactly that ... they will not bad you without the reason ... just play by the TOS and everything will be ok ...

I've been using adsence for years. I've been careful and never had any trouble with them. Almost 100 percent of my traffic is natural

i commented to the guy in the other thread about adsense disabled. Their system is automated, so it isnt a human that is actually banning your site in most cases.

Google. yahoo, recently got sued and settled with a case regarding click fraud..

So naturally one should suspect internally at google they had a meeting and told the engineers, hey, tighten up the screws a bit on the analysis of click fraud or any TOS violation patterns in the adsense program... preventitive measures...
So what happens is, more legitimate sites are swept into the patterns then not. sort of like spam filters in email.. it works 99% of the time, but 1% of the time a legimate email from a friend is flagged as spam... as it fit certain patterns. you can plead your case though to google and they may re-enable it.

Really probably not your fault and i tend to believe if a poster posts on a forum, such as this, they are not engaged in click frauds.
