Google has tons of information on everything that you have done with them in the past and as soon as you start again you will for sure raise a flag somewhere in their system.

If you cannot get your status back with Google after the aforementioned article then you need to move onto Yahoo publishing if you are in the US. If not you will need to look elswhere like Adbrite (see my sig "the true story about AdBrite")

Sorry Dave but i have to disagree with what your saying, it is very simple to get a second account.

Of course you have to login from behind a proxy and be a bit more careful, but i know of ppl ho have there second account on there own name only with a different address, and they have it now for months, ppl are talking a lot a BS when it comes to being banned an getting reinstated

So when you get banned it is not the end of the world, you can set up a company and open e new bank account and apply again, and you will get that account.

But you should not let adsense dictate your life, i have my eggs in all kinds of baskets, i still want to eat after G banes my account

i did got banned in the past by adsense. still don't know why because i had only two clicks and 3 cents in my account in one month but what the heck and i got a new account and i am using it for 6 months now.

You work your ass for months on something and then BANG UP THE ASS and you really wonder why and it's not like a sponsor, you change the link code and that's it, sales will start again. As for Adsense, that's another story. They are hanging you by the balls. They can do as they wish
