YPN is kickin' ass compared to AdSense on a per click revenue comparison.

Let's just say that if YPN went international now, no one would make over $1 a day. The advertiser side is in poor shape, either because not many people wanting to go Beta or because they just don't trust Yahoo yet.
My earnings have been dropping more and more over the course of a year (I was in the first bunch of people accepted) which coincides with the amount of people joining. Just last week when YPN was having ad serving problems to certain IP groups, my earnings went up due to getting the higher paying ads which ran out quickly earlier, now that the IP issue is solved, down goes the $$$.

It's probably still good in a few areas, but mine has dropped a ton over the past year.

My AdSense has also dropped over the last 6 months for 30% or so, maybe it is just the way the systems is going down hill, especially after G updated Adwords a while back.

A lot of publicers like myself dont use AS or YPN anymore because it is not really worth it, i have ads now to clickbank and CJ and Shareasale products and i have more revenue then i had with AS.

I have adsense on a couple of sites and it may as well not be there, I can't get clicks whatever I do with the placement/colour choices. Looks like I missed that boat altogether...

Even though the earnings are much lower now than they were when it was first launched my YPN sites roughly triple the income I'm making from similar page displays with adcents.

I do (did), that's what inspired post #1. AdSense was great for publishers when it first started but it went down hill once they opened it up to anyone who applied. The advertiser and publisher pool is quite diluted now.

I'm sure YPN will go sour too but it should be good for 2 or 3 years. As an advertiser AdWords is a great deal right now. Clicks that cost $3-$4 a couple years ago can now be had for 5 cents. So until the bubble bursts I'll use YPN $$ to fund AdWords. I expect it to be a short love affair though.

The quote like haui offered almost always comes from someone who is specialized and has 1-3 sites covering the same consumer niche. Certain market sectors will be affected more than others, some get hit quite hard. If you put all your eggs in one basket then yes, if something impacts that sector you're screwed. If you have a diverse portfolio you can soften the blow.
