How many years have you been in the adult entertainment business? Hmm- that would be about a year and a half now. 2. Where are you located? Look to your left Lucky, I'm at the desk next to you! What person or person's helped you when you first started out? Wow, the list is way too long to name. Of course I got my early training in Beta Brigade, where I learned all the terminology and basics of the trade from SleazyBear and all the great folks there. I also had a great time learning the blogging ropes with Thomas Byers who really gave me a lot of info that helped get me running. And Chimera is probably still one of my closest partners, we work together all the time on writing, planning and of course bouncing ideas. 4. What would you consider your greatest success in this business? My greatest success was when I started paying myself a salary for the very first time ever  There is no feeling better than writingout a check, any size, and saying "That's my money and I earned it." Honestly I really wish I had started paying myself earlier and I think it's one thing a lot of starting webmasters screw up on - they get the money in and they spend it all, sometimes on growing the business, but more often on shit (like I did) and ending up just as broke at the end of the month as they were at the beginning. 5. What would you consider your worst failure in this business? Oh man, the first six months were a total waste for me. I don't see how that could be avoided though - you learn by doing and I made all kinds of new and fascinating mistakes trying to build my own little empire. Probably my biggest failure was my first attempt at a hub site, it was just an absolute mess and completely non-SEO - it does bring in reasonable traffic but pretty much anything I build now does better. Then I started slapping shit on it to see what stuck - I didn't have any kind of plan, and it really showed. Every so often I think about going back to "fix" it but my time is better served by building new things than by re-re-rebuilding old ones. 6. Where do you see yourself in five years? I plan to move to Hawaii. In five years I hope to have a nice little apartment somewhere on Oahu and be doing all my blogging with a nice breeze from the ocean blowing over me! 7. When do you think you will retire? I don't think I ever will... I'm way to driven to just hang around sipping mojitos. What I like about this business, and affiliate work in general, is that I can keep going pretty much forever! 8. What drives you every day? Well, paying the bills for one. And I really enjoy what I do, so it's not hard to get motivated to get working in the morning. This is my dream job! 9. How much do you accomplish every day (site building, outsourcing, content editing, etc.)? Shit. Not enough. I generally write around (counts) 7500 - 10000 words in either paid posts or stuff for my own blog network. Which actually looks pretty intimidating when I see it as a number! In addition to that I build something every day - whether that's a dozen or so splogs for traffic, or some other type of site, freesite, gallery, what have you. Not to mention what I'd call "recreational coding" of things I think will benefit me in the future, most of which are absolute crap. But every once in a while I come up with something that we use daily. And finally about once a week I spend a couple hours on the big picture, trying to figure out where things are going, what I'm doing wrong, what I could do better, and what everyone else might be doing in the future. Sometimes my crystal ball is clearer than others! 10. What would you tell newbies to expect from their first year in business? Well, for one thing don't expect to be making much money for the first six months. It's going to take that long for your first sites even to start bringing in any meaningful traffic. Also figure that you're going to have a steep learning curve - you just can't throw a couple dirty pictures up and really make any cash.
