Surfer forum projec

I did a little research about surfer forums and I find out that very small number of webmasters have one of more of them, and I'm wondering why? They can be good traffic feeds and/or good money maker's.

I don't have surfer forum but I'm planing to make one or two or even few spam forums...

Difference between good/regular forum and spam forum is next...

If you want to make good surfer forum you need to put a lot of effort in it, managing and cleaning from rapidshare and spam posts etc. And If you want to build spam forums, just build it start some community talk and wait to google catch it. After that you can forget about it, the surfers will manage your forum, all you need to do is to put some ppc sponsors and you will have some monthly income without any effort. Something like a splog or CJ site... Of course you need to build a lot of spam forums...

After researching I found out that the hardest part of building successfully surfer board is starting a community... No one wants to post on an empty board...

I've read somewhere that some webmaster use to register couple of fake nicks on their own forums and they start posting and talking with them self's waiting to other people join them in conversation...

So I came up with a better solution... Why wouldn't we make a list of our forums and post on them together...

Here is an example...

Let's make a list of our forums, let's say 20 of them (one webmaster one forum) let's say that I have one forum and other webmasters have 19 forums I post on that 19 forums and other 19 webmaster post on mine... That how every webmaster have ~20 active members for start... And you need like 30mins every day to post on that 19 boards.

After few weeks you will have visitors from google (and you can link from your own sites) and the community will start growing...

The reason why people join to surfer forums is that they want to be a part of some community and meet other interesting people for sex or friendship so I believe that you will have very good conversation with dating sponsors...

And the reason why I started this in Newbie forum is because anyone can start a surfer forum... the phpbb script is free and if you don't have your host you can make your own forum on Adult Forum Host

This is just an idea so if there is anyone interested let me know to start building some forums

I'm hoping sponsors begin terminating accounts of webmasters who own surfer forums and allow stolen content to be posted.

I've had a surfer forum up since 1998 and have never, ever allowed posting of images and never, ever will.

If they want free pics, they can go to my TGP, my movie sites, or any number of other sites I promote.

Yeah that's a big problem so as illegal tube sites with stolen content...

That's an interesting move to prevent surfers to post sponsors content...
How many members does your forum have? Do you still getting new ones?
Is your traffic growing or falling? Of course if you'd like to share

It's there for chat only, not for posting of anything, though there have been 3 marriages from the site so far. It was never put up to make money but it has done so, but even if it lost a grand a month I would keep it going as it helps people.

It's grown every month for the past year but for last month, where it went down technically. The daily number of visitors increased 10 per day yet the overall traffic was down. This month, if the trend continues, the traffic will increase 50%. March 8 and 9th I had a huge increase in traffic and no, I have no clue why.

Nothing unusual in the referrers so I can either assume Google or Yahoo did a little dance or people were bored.

and if the surfers manage the forum.......................then all sorts of pirated stuff will come out

Having shut down some of these, I can tell you they are impossible to police, but if you go for it, good luck.

make you life easier, as soon as you have your forum installed use your admin controls to ban words like usercash and rapidshare, unfortunatly you'll proberbly have to also ban thumblogger as that gets used to host stolen images as well.

i used to have a "surfer forum" if anyone still remembers, not sure who owns it now

it was quiet like hell and there was only webmasters posting lol, at least that took care of the piracy problem

surfer forums are cost to much time and give to little revenue imo... But that's only my experience. (had a mainstream forum for a couple of years)

You all started with a negative comments about surfer forums, so you scare out newbies, looks like I'm trying to make a network of illegal sites...

A surfer forum will take lots of work. But if your willing to commit the time, then theres no reason why it won't work.

well since you said you will do some spam forums it sounded like surfers will post illegal/stolen content there. What else would they post on unmoderated forum

I have a surfer forum where I police the content very loosely, anything that's obviously ripped off gets deleted but no one posts there anyway so it's hardly an issue

If anyone wants to trade text posts that are relevant to surfers in a sexual manner but not focusing on porn I'd love to talk.

Well then we wuldn't include them to the project...
Let's build some moderated forums, with or without pics posts enabled, as long they are legal...

I would like to expire new traffic sources...
