Whoever fixed up the forum software so that when I type in a long url
http :// www dot shagcity.com for instance ... it looks up the URL, grabs the page title and throws it in!

I don't like this feature, I think they should take it off. It's for surfers, not webmasters.

It's annoying when someone lists domains or websites and you have to mouseover each one to view the URL's

I hate it too.
Some posts that are actually trying to explain how to "do the job" or sites for sale etc get fucked up because of this and are harder to decipher.

Not sure we need more surfmasters here, we have plenty already. Good for pageviews though and that keeps the advertisers happy if not the webmasters.

I don't like it either but if it's doing the pond good then it's all good.

I'm not a fan of the feature either. It is annoying. Boards attract the spiders just fine and keep them returning due to the never ending fresh content for them to feed on. Webmasters have the potential to get URLs indexed just as easily without this feature.
