Another vote for FlashFXP... great program and its pretty cheap especially with the low dollar ( if your not living in the usa )

I have been using CuteFTP for many years but currently im trying FireFTP - The Free FTP Client for Mozilla Firefox which is a FireFox plugin. This means regardless of my operating system it works universal.

I downloaded the FireFTP earlier, and all I can say is 'great one Varzi'. I am really enjoying using it, especially directly in the browser, and with the directory structure layouts, it is as simple to work on the local system as well as the remote!

FileZilla (for windows) is free and does everything you'd need from a simple FTP program. I use Transmit for Mac in the office though.

I used smartftp for literally years, then they released a version that made uploading incredibly slow so I moved to Filezilla.

I use cuteFTP since 2005 and still using it now. Or else use ftp for mozilla I think you only need a plugin for that, they said its also great but haven't tried it

I did not know Dreamweaver had an FTP in it until this thread, I tried it and found it t be slow so I’m sticking with FlashFXP.

over the years i have been playing with the internet (15 yrs or so) i have found only 3 free solutions for ftp (listed from my personal favorite to least fav):

1) filezilla

2) fireftp for firefox
3) command prompt or cmd's ftp command line
