Photoshop help
Hi Everyone,
The next thing on my list is to learn to make banners on photoshop. I have CS2 and I'd like to find an online tutorial. I've looked but can't find anything that takes me through the process. Can anyone refer me to site..please? Thanks so much |

Here's a list that you can find on Netpond.. it was a previous post from a few years ago so you might find a few dead links but it's still a VERY long list...
http://www.netpond.com/new-adult-web...-part-2-a.html I also use good-tutorials.com which is listed above.. and here are a few others... 11,417 Adobe Photoshop Tutorials listed on pslover.com Photoshop Tutorials, Free Photoshop Tutorials, Adobe Photoshop Tutorials http://www.teamphotoshop.com/Tutorial-15,8.html Spoono - Photoshop Tutorials these sites are very good... these people actually work for adobe in the development of photoshop... some of the tutes are for photographers. Julieanne Kost. Digital Imaging Evangelist, Adobe Systems, Inc. Tim Cole's InDesign BackChannel downloadculture.com - Photography and Photoshop by Daniel Brown And this is one of my FAVORITE photoshop tutorials sites.. Stuff |

Great Photoshop links there, I'll be sure to have a look!
As facialfreak said, don't dive in too quickly. Ps is a very complex programme, and even though I have been using it for too many years, it still can be overwhelming. If you have a free five minutes here and there, just fire it up and scribble without having any destination. Just click things and see what they do. With all the advice given above, one bit that I still adhere to, and a lot of other 'shop drivers' I know do, as well... Buy a pad of paper, and a pencil. Get your ideas down before you dive in and think "Christ what is the way to do this?" |

MountainGoat is right. Sketch your ideas out on paper first, even if you only divide the area up into squares and circles (a "cartoon").
One good Photoshop book, sometimes found in PDF form, is "Photoshop: Every Tool Explained," and whether or not you can find it, please do your best to learn the interface. You'll be glad you did! And don't be afraid to spend lots of time just daydreaming and "goofing" with Pshop. Maybe start out on larger images first, before you step down to banner size. __________________
