Managing your shit

Just curious, as a webmaster, blogger, or whatever you do, it seems like in the porn business there's a lot more info to deal with than usual. Things like logins, domains, ips, analytics & stats, affiliates, money, hosting shit, submission sites, link trades, and the list goes on probably forever.

So how do most of you guys keep track of shit? Is your desk cluttered with shit? Do you use any software to keep track of your shit besides excel?

I'm using excel right now but it doesn't take long for it to get out of whack. Granted, i'm a messy pig, but i'm only managing a few sites and shit. What about you guys who are managing a shitload of sites?

Basically, how do you manage your shit?

i use excel and mybase desktop, but when the amount of blogs getting bigger and bigger, that's troublesome.

I use Roboform for some of my passwords. For some other things I use excel but I also use notebooks.

For mainstream I have one and I use a different one for my adult work. I also have a cork board for lil quick ideas or what not that I come up with.

I know it sounds like a mess and a lot of hassle but it works for me.

ah, something to add, i don't use excel, i use wps, which is free and compatible with excel

I only use 1 log in ID and 3 different Passwords

a password for forums only
a password for affiliates only
a password for my email and my host

it's pretty easy to remember them and pretty secure I think

shit ya! i agree. i don't use pussy passwords either like ilovemycat or shit. make them solid like 45rtrgfdrt3. otherwise you're just asking for trouble.

I don't have tons of blogs, so Im managing them individual,
Password I don't writing anywhere in PC and on paper. I'm just have one word then 2-3 letters from blog title or domain or something and one number that look like passwordAB1 and I don't forget any password of my blogs.

I used to use an HTML page with all my sponsor names, passwords etc. but now use an Excel sheet.

For all my love of technology sometimes I can be so retro - it is a very nice notepad though (moleskine one)

Passwords, sponsor names, domain registrars, my site names, and so on. I named it 'Chaos Theory'
