hey ya thats the best way is to buy the off shoe chord

but there must be cheaper one on ebay I think because that is expensive.

I have 2 flashes so I used one to triger the other. You can see in the movie that the top flash fires right before the ring....that is the trigger....but I will get a chord.

I made the ring out of a doggy bowl but it's stainless steel if you can get steel or maybe aluminum bowl it is much easier to cut than stainless steel

I will try to post pics durning the week but on flickr there is so many ways to do this too its amazing.

Why not go and see if your local mom and pop camera store has a short adapter cable knocking around or a set of male and female hotshoe adapters, then get busy with the soldering iron and some cable?

Or if you plan on using the flash permanently in the ring set, why not just drop out the hotshoe terminal from the bottom and lengthen the connection cables?

With watching this thread, it reminds me, I have a Nikon SB28, with a cracked support so it won't trigger anywhere off the horizontal... I think it is time to visit the pet shop, and get busy with the Dremel!

hey thanks I apprciate that MountainGoat yes thats the better way to just use the cable, the ones from china are cheap on ebay now I think I saw them for $20 bucks shipped. its too heavy to have 2 flashes lol. If i can get one of those I think I will go for that but if they are like $40 then I'll just make one
