Rotoscope / Cartoonize Images

Hey all,

Im looking for a good technique, or some software that doesn't cost 50k to rotoscope some images. Images only, I'm not bothered about movies.

Anyone who doesn't know, rotoscoping is making real footage look animated, like cartoons.

I found a good technique duplicating layers and setting the darkness levels and applying a blur, but I want them *even more* cartoonized than that.

Any ideas, or suggestions? Greg B? Lyno? Anyone else?

Be great to get them looking like the Grand Theft Auto box art, which I believe is rotoscoping in action.

I think you mixed up two different things : Rotoscoping
I wasted a lot of time trying to convert renders into drawings. I had some
limited success giving them a drawing like look, but still far away from
hand-drawn. If you find a prog that can do that post it here please

Celshader renders look like hand drawn, more or less.

Sorry Rofl I don't know about that. I think the GIMP has a cartoon filter
