Would you let one of your contributing photographers take your wedding photos?

I had a conversation with a friend, last night, and he asked me "Would you let one of your contributing photographers do your wedding photos?"

I think my personal answer would be no; however, it is dependent on who the photographer is and personal tastes!

I would be really interested to hear other people's opinion on this one!

I think yes why not. If the photos gonna be good then yes.

It would depend on the person, and if I trusted them to be discreet about how I know them, plus on how good the photography is and what they wanted to charge.

That is a valid and good point for not asking a contributing photographer to do it!

BTW: - I am not actually planning a wedding just yet, but I think I may pose the question to some of the contributors just to see what their responses are. I asked one of them last night, and he said "No, because you would not feel comfortable, with knowing what I have shot, and then taking pictures of your other half, even if she doesn't know what I have taken previously!"

Now that's exactly why I would hire him/her - that's the shot I want on the wall - right next to the picture of my mother-in-law. And I want to make sure I hire someone that can capture "the moment"
