IBL checking refers to InBound Links. If you want to get ranked for a certain search term it helps to have inbound links with the search term in your link description.

The rest you can learn at any site that teaches basic SEO. Google it, bro.

badwolf is so right - google is your friend. you can answer each of these basic questions within 5 minutes of googling them!

Most of what you are asking is basic, and just a little bit of research will get you the answers you need. A good place to start is a search engine forum or a basic site like Ranking Specialist, tools and inforation to get great search engine ranking

With regards to SEO build your site for a surfer not a search engine. If your site looks good and surfers like it the rest comes in time. Basic's like meta tags make the difference but they are not important. You make money from surfers not from search engines.

I'm not saying ignore search engines, just don't bother too much about them, especially at the start. A good site that is very well SEO may not make as much money as a good site that is designed for surfers.

IBL means Inbound Links - and the best way to check it is like this:
Type this on Google/Yahoo/MSN
link:<keyword>
Then it'll show you the backlinks of the site.

- Title Tag The most important aspect of your websites pages you should imho target yout top three keyword pfrasees in your title tags this is what appears in the bar at the top of your page
- Meta Descriptions - the discription of your site that appears beneath the rul in your se listing

it's in my sig, you're welcome it's not just a book anymore, it's a membership site now with lots of videos and constant updates by aaron wall and his team. not cheap, but worth every cent, both for newbs and advanced seo's.

As many others have already posted, seobook.com is a great resource and tool as well as Google. Remember, everything you do from the web copy to the tags to any of the submissions you do should all be relevant to one another as far as the keywords you are targeting. Your web site needs to have some form of contact info as well.
