New Alexa Ranking System
I was just looking at a few of the stats for my sites and noticed a big change on one site, then I read on Alexa they have changed the ranking system. Looking at it the new system looks much better than the old one because its not relying on purely traffic.
I know lots of people think Alexa rank is rubbish, if that's the case no need to comment in this thread with stupid comments like Alexa means nothing  I was just wondering has anyone else noticed some big changes, one of my sites jumped quite substantially, which considering its Pagerank 5 it didn't have that high of an Alexa ranking in the past, it does now though. __________________

thats right, a new system wherein rankings are now based on “multiple sources of data” rather than just the Alexa Toolbar it means they do a new source of data how they rank sites.

My rankings fell a little.
As for alexa being garbage, I hear it a lot, but its a useful tool to get a ballpark idea about a site that you don't suspect is being manipulated. |

A couple of my big sites dropped down, one a fair bit but its a new site with lots of traffic so no real ranking info so it should have dropped down if rankings are to mean anything.
A few increased but most are about the same. __________________

Where do they get their stats from? It says more traffic sources... but where?
