google gone crazy these days?

for example for the keyword "hot anal sex" we had 575k pages in google some days ago, and today it says there is more than 6 millions. And I see this with almost all my keyword phrases. I do not think, so many sites were created in some days.

What's your opinion about this?

well I guess it has something to do with their new algorithm

maby sometimes google says incorrect information and we have to check other SEs to check whether it is worth to register a domain name with your keywords.

Well the algorithm changes all the time, but who cares if there are 6 million or 600,000. What I want to know is who is on the top 1-10. They are all that matter. If the top 3 are poorly SEO'd sites, then the 5,999,997 sites below them are even worse, and as long as my site is better, it can either beat 599,999 or 5,999,999.

I see more shite sites up every day, blasted all over. The adult solution seems to be just build more and more shite sites. I'm all about building more and more, but SEO those babies and you'll have a lot more success.

well said. You know, sometimes I see one more crazy shit. My site with 200+ good backlinks standing in ~50 possition while the other site, who only was submited to twan list and some other directories, stands numer 1. I think domain age means a lot.

I noticed the google shift very recently as well. . . and yeah that domain age seems to be having a greater effect than in the past. Even more so than the age rank I'm thinking the trust rank or authority rank is really getting leaned on lately. . . . With the onslaught of doorways, cloaking, rss scraping splogs, and anything adding massive building. . . I think google may have dug in and added a bit more weight to the trusted sites. My new sites all got slapped and my older one hung around but was usurped by really old trusted domains.

Twan's directories, and t-blogger have some nice trust rank in the adult world. I caught freeones and the rest of the lot also climb back up in areas. . . old trusted domains got the lean it seems. I'm going to let this run its course for another week and then decide. . .

I was very interested in doing something similar thanks for saving some time. Keep in mind though. . . once you buy the domain and re-register it. that may have a reseting effect. I've read somewhere along the line about that. . hold on. . .

here it is. . . read down on age of site. Gray Wolf makes some interesting statements on it not being the age of the site rather the age of the links. There is somewhere on this page more talk about age and links as well. . .

Looks like now there is over 8million. When you searched and saw 600k it may have been a hickup on googles end. Anyways, as someone else said here..it doesn't matter on the number. What matters is who's in the top 10

Tell me about that, i have one site shaking se positions for months now! From 80 a day to 900 a day, i never knwo how much traffic i can expect.

Google algorithms change all the time, I also noticed certain not so popular terms go from 30k pages to over 2 million. No way this many pages were built within just few months since last time I had it at 30k.

Just a few weeks ago, my site keeps on changing position at Google. Ftom number 2 it will go down to number 12 then be back to number 3, something like that. but this week, it became stable.

I agree with the members that said see who is at the top of SERP's and if the sites aren't SEO'd, then make sure your sites are. You are looking for longevity so once you are there, you stay in that spot.

We have been stable in the top spots (1,2,3,4,5) on Google for 6 months on our targeted keywords/phrases and yes Google changes their algorithm all the time but again, you also have the other search engines to rank in as well.

When searching for keywords, don't just focus on the main words(tier 1) but also go after less popular keywords/ phrases (tier 2 and tier 3) and their variations. When you get inquiries to your site, figure out ways to convert the traffic to a sale if its offering something for free, etc.

Who is we? in 'we've helped sites build long standing postions like yobt.com'. And curiously how did you help yobt.com? I've seen yobt on a lot of sites that are paid links. . . was wondering what kind of SEO work you do to help in that regard.
