Look.

Everybody is always concerned about SEO and optimizing for google... PR...and all that stuff. I'm going to tell you right now. Quit worrying about the stuff and just work your asses off.

Update your site daily with content.. make sure to always name your photos with "alt" tags, cause of course you know that search engines can't read photos, like /img/070298.jpg" . Make sure to put the words with it...

Also, another thing.. after getting about 400-500 uniques a day start trading traffic with others... get that traffic..and get a good trade script (find out where the trash is coming from..and kick em' the fuck out) of your trade.

After a few months you will start making steady sales. I know some tube sites (I don't have one) that are getting 10-12k uniques a day and making money through sales and avn ads and stuff.

Anyway.. my point is don't spend all of your time working towards google traffic (though we'd all like to have), but more towards partnership trades, and much more.

Just my opinion, but I could be wrong.

You might bump your traffic numbers alot by trading but you can't measure the success of a site by ammount of visitors. Only by the ammount of cash in your hand. =)

I would say the common consensus is that google traffic is worth a whole lot more than skimmed traffic from your trades.

I would be very hesitant to send my hard earned organic traffic away to my trades just to get surfers who've been bumped around 5 sites already to land on my site.
But of course, if you go the TGP route you sort of "need" to trade. But be careful so that you don't just loose your good traffic in exchange for lots of bad traffic.

it goes back to diversification, me thinketh..

the SE's play a big part in traffic, not just googly alone.. as yahooly and msnee still exist.

the playing field for obtaining SE traffic is huge, so DO NOT forget that a good link exchange or traffic trade can help increase traffic as well, along with giving you very targeted traffic.

Minus the traffic trading this is what DH has been saying all along and I agree with him. Let the 'SEO companies' figure out SEO and get on with your work, unless your going blackhat then it's not worth the time and effort to stay on the bleeding edge of SEO since it can easily backfire and what works today will be abused and changed tomorrow

I definitely agree. SEO Traffic is something you should look to go after once you've built a solid site, with a long standing relationship with other partners. Which in turn helps your SEO and brings cash to then build up your SEO for more traffic.

30 procent rule!
If any of your traffic sources alone bring in more than 30 procent of the sites traffic, work more on other sources.

If you by traffic means linktrading, article trading etc. i agree, but scimmed traffic trades or even pure traffic trades has nothing to do with Search Engine optimisation...wich is the name of this forum.

Possibly Jack is referring to "070298.jpg" kaktusan.

Renaming that same file to bigtits.jpg is going to help with seo and giving it an alt tag of same is going to find you some traffic as well.
