The tasty ones are the ones you can get traffic for, going after high paying keywords from what I see is the number #1 reason people fail at adsense.

Sure if you have targeted traffic you can tweak it a bit by building pages for higher paying terms, but you have to have that traffic to start with.

So if you have a cell phone site maybe put up a page for area coverage, but if your traffic is looking for free ring tones then don't expect much, but its better than sending the free ring tone traffic direct to a page paying high terms.

I like to see 20-30% ctr so you need to be showing your surfer exactly what they were looking for.

I earned about $4.34 when making a site called "Mesothelioma", currently i closed the site, because the paying keyword "Mesothelioma" is too popular now.

the supply outstrips the demand. you need to have targeted traffic for your keywords.

Classic example

I made more than $40,000 with a site on cabinet handles and knobs. And all it was in reality was a tgp gallery style site built in 20 minutes using pictures of my kitchen cupboards.

before you ask wheres the adsense, traffic is redirected as with all my stuff.

thats site did so well because for the first year and a half of google image search I had like 50 pictures indexed in the top 5 spots for some very tasty rennovation terms.
