Ranking High With PR 5

depends on a few things, it can be done very easy.

Most get more concerned with the undoing a month or two down track when the domain is banned and everything it was linking too that's linking back somewhere, gets penalty point, the Ip gets annihilated and a number of other things just as nasty that you invited to your network. So theres the risk factor.

I think its better to keep the main stream site main stream, rework it a little your most likly going to make more money in the short and long term.

chances for it to rank on that keyword are very low, PR has no value on SERP's

google tends to check for those things.. They notice domains expiring, whois changes, etc. they really do a pretty good job about it as well.

Chasing Pagerank is a big waste of time also. I can show you many pr5 sites and pages that are worthless, penalized, and no-where to be found/never will be found for anything. I see all the time guys selling websites with pr5 that are 3 months and basically worthless/garbage.

baldbastard has a better suggestion, just take the site and go with what it is.

I would suggest you not to do anything with it as it was mainstream oriented site.
Just try to work more on it, put some adsense stuff and you're ready to go... In the other case, you are risking to be banned from majority of SEs....
