Ip has never effected the PR of a domain where it comes into play is in the linking algo and even here it matters bugger all as they look at the geographic location of the site/ host. So having 10 sites on one box where they all interlink can be a real issue depending on where those 10 sites get there incoming links from, if each site has its own incoming link structure then there is no probs at all, however if those ten sites are all getting there linkage from the same sources and then interlinking you will have more than a little problem.

matt cutts is not an expert... he is some guy that works for google... his opinion is worth as much as nyone elses...
the way I see it - dedicated unique IP's are cheap so doesn't hurt to use em secondly you should not HAVE to link your own sites together? why do u want 9-10 more incoming links and risk crosslinking when it takes 100+ links to get anywhere anyways? |
