Does having each site on a separate domain help?
Hi,
I run a paysite selling movie downloads. I have about 100 movies online right now. I have decided to start a freesite project to get some more traffic to my paysite. What I am planning to do is make ONE freesite for every movie on my paysite. I am basically looking for search engine traffic here... so would like some help on a few questions I have..... 1. I am planning to put each site on its seperate domain. Will this help me get more traffic from the search engines or can I just put all the sites on the same domain. 2. If it is a better idea for each site to have its own domain - can I go for cheaper .info domains or do search engines give more importance to .coms I do not mind investing a decent sum in this project. So the initial investment is not a deciding factor as long as I can get the returns on it. GangstaC. __________________

A whole domain for a single freesite sounds like overkill to me, but it probably will work well enough, mind you I think subdomains would work well too, but don't take my word for it.
(Subdomains aren't popular with linklists for some reason, but for SE I think they're ok) |

If you have seperate sites with seperate keywords...
it is better to put the keyword in the domain names for different sites: MILF site -> crazyMILFsex.com anal site -> crazyanalsex.com but you could have a sub domain for each of them: MILF -> MILF.crazyporn.com Anal -> ANAL.crazyporn.com and you can lower your admministrative & name registration/renewal expenses a tiny bit. If you can get prexisting domain names with traffic/bookmarkers for related content, then you are ahead. Otherwise it doesn't matter so much. |
