It has been a busy week around here - all of a sudden, people we
haven't talked to in years have dropped by to say 'hi'. Of course,
we immediately took them out for a bite to eat, and of course ordered
some wine - tried (and succeeded) in showing them a good time. Do your
sites offer the same sort of hospitality to your surfer as you might
show a guest? Or are bookmarkers nothing more than folks looking for
a free lunch? Believe it or not, I've seen both sides of this
argument deliver some convincing points of view, so don't be too
willing to build off of either philosophy just because it supports your
world-view. Research, learn and build your sites with the knowledge
necessary to help maximize your return on investment. Now where is the
rest of that wine?
