It really depends on the product... and I think that everyone can go for free if you know how to monetize in different way than just to take bucks from client when he signs up or decide to buy...
I have more than few examples of how "free" is the perfect price for almost any product... but of course, there is good idea on how to monetize that product and earn a lot while giving it for free...

Porn isn't as much value driven as its need driven. You create the need and they will pay whatever you ask within reason. While value is a factor, its not as much in 'need' driven markets such as porn.
