Enlighten yourself.. Alot of old webmasters and young ones get into one style of template, and they cant make anything else. Sometimes we just need to go to a link list site and check out what someone else is makeing and change our style a little, this is very important if your sales have dropped off. New and exciteing sells better than old crusty. We all tend to get in a rut sometimes, I try to go a different directions sometimes, maybe take a day and do something different. right now I am working on building the largest free site on the net. maybe I will make it maybe I wont, but its different than just makeing a bunch of free sites. I am known for jus takeing an idea and going with it, whats the worst that can happen? I suck down a couple hundred gigs a month of bandwidth? Sometimes you got to take a chance, and see what you can come up with, think of something new, and play with an idea. I remember when picture post was first introduced, webmasters was like why would i let you hotlink my image and use my pictures on your site.. didnt make sence to alot of them.. But picture post work out pretty well. You just got to learn how to work them.

There has been alot of questions on the boards about sponcer hosted galleries, and what you can you use them for and if there any good.. Ok first off you can't get them listed on thehun, or pk, or any other site for that matter, link lists, tgp, wont list them. But there is a reason for them and a way to use them..

First off what is a sponcer hosted gallery.. It is basicly a gallery that a sponcer makes up that has your linking code on all the banners and txt. It has 7 to 15 thumbs and it links to the images, the kicker to this is it cost you nothing to use them, you actully make money with them. Because the sponcer host the galleries.. So this is a win win for you, the sponcer covers the bandwidth cost for these galleries..

Now how to use them.. If you do tgp submission, whats it going to hurt if you put up your own button to your own fake tgp..

A fake tgp is where you make a tgp that looks like its a real tgp, but the only galleries listed are your sponcer galleries. So the traffic that comes to this tgp is from your tgp gallery submission pages.. This gives you even more of a chance to make a sale.

You can also do this if you do free sites, it works the same way as a makeing a fake tgp site...

Now if you run a real tgp you can use these also, there is no law that says you have to run only submitted galleries this is your site, and you can put up hosted galleries on your tgp just as if you submitted to them.

So this is how to use them to there full advantage, there is prob some other tricks to useing sponcer hosted galleries, but do to the length on this, use your imagination.. and put your thinking cap on.. and see what you can come up with..

When it comes to computers, I am a cross between Tim Allen and Bob Villa.. Anyway what I am getting at.. is a slow loaded up computer cost you money... it cost you very valuable time.. I was doing some batch images for someone, and there was about 2000 images, This machine did them in about 2 hours, that cut the images in size and res, and put them into sub folders of 30. Some of these images was completly raw, we are talking about 2.5 megs each.. They was pretty amazed that this could be done that fast.. The reason is I keep my machines up to date. This one would be classed as slow by alot of peoples standards, its only and amd xp 1800 with 256 megs of ram, the drives are 7200 rpm.. the reason that this machine is quicker than most in its class, is its not running windows xp, windows xp sucks as a work operating system. Now I thought ok its summer time to upgrade, so I trip on over to pricewatch, and for about 350 bucks I can have a 3200 system pretty easy.. mother board and chip, 256 megs of memory, and I am cooking with gas.. So what I am trying to tell you, is its always best to have a work system, and a play system.. One with all the bells and wistles and one that is for work and if you set it up right, you can use one monitor one mouse and one keyboard.. so why one system is working its little ass off, you can be checking the boards, or learning new things.

I have been asked so many times about hosting.. should i use free of paid..
If you want to be taken seriously in this biz, paid is the only way to go. It dont have to be so expensive.. you want to try to work your sales at the beginning to where your makeing at least one sale per gig.. if your doing 2 sales per gig just starting out, you need to work a little harder.. This is why I always say start out with the smaller tgp's and link lists.. smaller traffic means smaller bandwidth, and you can learn to do your sales txt the right way..
Now when it come to hosting.. There is alot of good ones out there, but I have always stuck with one.. Cyberwurx.com, why because one if my site goes down, I can pick up the phone and call and there on it.. If i have a question i can email them or fill out a work order, and i get a reply quick.. Every new domain I set up, its set up within 12 hours or less, and alot of times its less..
Now the deal I have is like 20 bucks a month, 10 or 15 gigs of bandwidth, not sure on that one, and 100 megs of server space.. I dont need alot, because most i do is some testing here and there.. to keep up on stuff. As a newbie if you follow my main rule of staying away from large tgp's and link list, have them put up an anti hotlinking script for you, and this is free.. your going to do ok with the 10 or 15 gigs.. now if you go out and you get listed on the hun, your screwed.. One your wasteing traffic, I have never met anyone in this industry that made good selling sales txt right out of the box, its something you have to learn, and its best if you learn from a little traffic, then get swamped with a big ass bandwidth bill and little sales.. In closeing, I have to say that I always go with cyberwurx.. They have alot of deals and when it comes to customer serverice, they are hard to beat, and there staff is always helpful and friendly.. If you have any question about the deal I got just ask chris ( aka conepuppy)he knows more about my hosting than I do..
Oh he also host netpond and everything else netpond.. and has done it for years..

There was a post on the main board about kazaa, and I wanted to put it into this folder..

First off if you dont know what kazaa is, its a per to per file shareing program. It lets someone else on the net search for files on your computer, and it lets them download things from you..
There is other p2p programs and networks out there, but kazaa for the time being is the largest one..

Here is how to spam kazaa and other p2p networks..

First you take an image.. good and clear.. between 60 and 70kb, you want it nice and large.. you open your image editor and you open that image.. you check the size and you copy it, then you take the image size and you make a new image, just a little bit bigger than the one you have copied both top and bottom.. Then you make a box in there that gives you a little room at the top, and a little room at the bottom, and you paste the image in there.. Now at the top and bottom you have room to put in a little advertisement for your site.. and you try to get joe surfer to go to your site....

There is some tricks to all this, niches are very big on kazaa because the surfer knows exactly what phrase to search for.. so be very niche spacific in you images and your sales txt at the top and bottom.. Your not going to get millions of hits a day from this, but the traffic you get is very heathy.. Give them exactly what they want, and they will come to your site..

I was asked tonight, why do you teach newbies when most crash and burn after 6 months, why do you waste your time. To me its not a waste of time. If every newbie out there, contacted me instead of giveing up, they prob wouldnt be giveing up. This is not a get rich quick biz, thats the first thing every newbie should know. Its a liveing and the longer your in it the better you get and the more you make.. Its like me, in the last month I have changed gears completely. going from tgp and link list, to buying domains that are already listed on google, and already have traffic. There is so many ways, that to just quit and give up dont cut it with me.. You change gears, find new directions, I am not falling or looseing in the game. I am switching to try something new. When something dont work for you, and you just quit dont work with me. I have a knowlege base you wouldnt beleive, all you have to is ask me and I will look at what your doing, and if you feel the need to change directions, then by all means contact me, and we will figure something else out. This is a business you have to learn, you cant do everything out of the box. There are many paths to profit, we just have to find you, your way. This is what I do, I teach newbies, but if I dont know what you need, then I cant teach you.. I am one of the only newbie people in the biz that will do one on one on the phone, if you live in the usa. I dont keep a list of phone numbers once i call i dont keep your number. I will tell you anything and everything you need to know, or want to know.. I have no secrets.. So if you need help ask and you shall recieve..

This post is going to hurt... ouchies, but it is the biggest cat out of the bag sence I been in the biz.. and yes I am doing this myself.. But I cant buy every one of these so its time to let out one of the biggest well kept secrets on the net out of the bag..

This involves buying deleted or dropped domain names.. First off you need a cheap domain register, and second it would really help if you had your own server.. But you can do this pretty cheaply without it.. but it gets cheaper if you have your own..

Anyway here is the deal..
First off there is two ways to do it. one is easyer one is harder, i will go with the hard one first.
There is a website called deleted domains so what you do is you trip on over to http://www.deleteddomains.com and you have another browser window open to alexa. that http://www.alexa.com and you grab domain names from deleted domain names and you pop them into the alexa window. You look at the sites that link backed to the domain name.. one that has search engines and alot of links to it, you register.. this gives you instant traffic, and your already registerd in the se's with that doman name.. poof instant traffic for you to do with as you please..

Now here is an easyer version..
First off you get an acount over at seguru.net that http://www.seguru.net its like 30 bucks a month..
Now se guru he provides you with deleted domain names, and pretty much all the information you wanted.. even has an email that will send you deleted domains that you choose the keywords for..

Now there is another thing to this if you want to do it, and I like to go to wayback machine and check to see what the domain looked like when the other webmaster had it. I dont have the url bookmarked, and alexa.com isnt working for me right now, but i think the url is http://www.waybackmachine.com but there is a link off alexa to get there..

So this kiddies, is how it is done.. The other day, i picked up a deleted domain, that had 32 pages linking to it, plus was listed in google for 5 bucks, this is produceing me about 150 hits a day.. do this 10 times and your getting traffic to a site very cheaply..

Also if you dont have your own server conepuppy does host a domain for $1 and you can have it pointed wherever you want, so you take and get an acount over at http://www.cyberwurx.com and then have them point the domain to a sponcer, or to your new tgp, or to where ever you want the traffic to to..

Well i wouldnt go as far as pantywaste, but there is alot of adult domains avl, everyday so i would stay away from main stream, unless you build you little storefront or something of that nature..
It kind of goes with dont put all your fruit in one basket, you should have more than just adult in your admin folder..

I was doing some surfing looking for things that might help some webmasters.. I sometimes have a hard time comming up with things for this thread.. Alot of stuff that is out there is repeated over and over.. I am a leader not a follower.. half the stuff some of these websites tell you came from me anyway.. Haui is our resident gift to google. He knows way more than I do about google but doing my little checking things out.. I ran into a site that has a ton of information on google so I wanted to post it.. and this way I know where the link is so I can learn more on google myself.. So without alot of txt here is the link.. and hopefully haui hasnt posted it already and I dont look like a copy cat..

I have been looking at tons of galleries from newbies.. so much so.. I have seen alot of differnt styles and different page designs.. some are killer awesome.. some are ok.. needs some work.. But something I am really noticeing is sponcer banners.. The thing you need to remember is not everyone is on high speed kick ass download speed.. I checked a site today on the laptop.. and I was on dailup.. the sponcer had provided a nice 1/4 page add in its stables.. yeah it looked good after 2 minutes on the page.. blah not good.. Sponcers have a challenge to look good and be small.. sometimes they go a little further to the left on look good and not press the compress image button.. Now dont get me wrong some sponcers have some real top notch designers.. some the best in the biz.. but you have to remember there 9 chances out of 10 on a lan.. so they have high speed.. and they may not test it on dailup.. thats where you the webmaster needs to check your sites on dailup.. and check your sponcer banners.. just remember that your banners should look as good as possable and better than your images.. but load faster than your images.. kind of like putting a square peg in a round hole.. but this is something that newbies have to learn over time.. its not something that you are born with... its just another one of those thing you have to learn.. Another little tidbit to this.. most newbie surfers dont have high speed.. they have dailup.. because they just got there computer home and there is that nice aol button or msn icon.. so there going to try it out first.. and see what the net is all about... and there is no easyer sale than a green newbie surfer..

I am working with someone that is setting up a domain and they asked me how it worked.. I am not an expert on this.. but I will give you what I believe happens..

your register a domain.. when you register it you give it a name server.. when someone types in the domain it goes to a computer on the net that gives it directions.. to that name server.. when it gets to that name server the name server says ok this is where the domain name is on what box.. it can even be be the same box as the name server.. how does the name server know where it is? It is set up by your host or if you run you own box it is set up by you.. Sounds pretty simple.. there is alot more to it but that should give you the general idea..

You just bought 500 pictures it came in the mail on cd.. you also got a lic.. your all set and ready to go right.. wrong.. there is a couple of things you need to do. one is look at the paper work.. make sure it is what you agreed to.. second thing is make sure you dont have to sign it and send part of it back.. ok got that part finished.. now pop the cd in your machine and pop a blank one into your burner.. repeat this again.. you want to make sure you have 2 backups.. The next time you go to the store or out.. drop by a place with a copy machine.. and make a copy of the lic.. then the next time you go to the bank.. put a copy of the cd and lic in your safe deposit box.. dont have one.. well u need to have one.. anything important business lic.. picture of your computer.. and pictures of your house.. huh.. whats this got to do with one little content cd.. you should always have pictures of your house.. video is better.. but pictures work too. this is in case something happens you can prove to the insurance company that you had the stuff you say you had.. high dollar items you should have a copy of the recipt for insurance in the safe deposit box too.. remember this is a business and you have to keep records to the extreem.. Insuance companies love your money but when it comes to paying you for your loss the first they want is proof you had it in the first place they know people dont keep recipts for stuff and if there is a loss where you need them you got to have the proof..

so give them the

and screw up there day..

oh the second backup.. put in a cd holder that is just for backups.. never know..

Having a fax machine in your office is handy too, otherwise you're likely to fill out the license forms and forget to send them... months later you find them at the bottom of a pile on your desk and you've been using that content the whole time!

I like the content companies that generate the licenses online and eliminate the paperwork, you just print it out - wish more of 'em did this.

This post is going to hurt... ouchies, but it is the biggest cat out of the bag sence I been in the biz.. and yes I am doing this myself.. But I cant buy every one of these so its time to let out one of the biggest well kept secrets on the net out of the bag.. This involves buying deleted or dropped domain names.. First off you need a cheap domain register, and second it would really help if you had your own server.. But you can do this pretty cheaply without it.. but it gets cheaper if you have your own.. Anyway here is the deal.. First off there is two ways to do it. one is easyer one is harder, i will go with the hard one first. There is a website called deleted domains so what you do is you trip on over to http://www.deleteddomains.com and you have another browser window open to alexa. that http://www.alexa.com and you grab domain names from deleted domain names and you pop them into the alexa window. You look at the sites that link backed to the domain name.. one that has search engines and alot of links to it, you register.. this gives you instant traffic, and your already registerd in the se's with that doman name.. poof instant traffic for you to do with as you please.. Now here is an easyer version.. First off you get an acount over at seguru.net that http://www.seguru.net its like 30 bucks a month.. Now se guru he provides you with deleted domain names, and pretty much all the information you wanted.. even has an email that will send you deleted domains that you choose the keywords for.. Now there is another thing to this if you want to do it, and I like to go to wayback machine and check to see what the domain looked like when the other webmaster had it. I dont have the url bookmarked, and alexa.com isnt working for me right now, but i think the url is http://www.waybackmachine.com but there is a link off alexa to get there.. So this kiddies, is how it is done.. The other day, i picked up a deleted domain, that had 32 pages linking to it, plus was listed in google for 5 bucks, this is produceing me about 150 hits a day.. do this 10 times and your getting traffic to a site very cheaply.. I have seen alot of differnt styles and different page designs.. some are killer awesome.. some are ok.. needs some work.. But something I am really noticeing is sponcer banners.. The thing you need to remember is not everyone is on high speed kick ass download speed.. I checked a site today on the laptop.. and I was on dailup.. the sponcer had provided a nice 1/4 page add in its stables.. yeah it looked good after 2 minutes on the page.. blah not good.. Sponcers have a challenge to look good and be small.. sometimes they go a little further to the left on look good and not press the compress image button.. Now dont get me wrong some sponcers have some real top notch designers.. some the best in the biz.. but you have to remember there 9 chances out of 10 on a lan.. so they have high speed.. and they may not test it on dailup.. thats where you the webmaster needs to check your sites on dailup.. and check your sponcer banners.. just remember that your banners should look as good as possable and better than your images.. but load faster than your images.. kind of like putting a square peg in a round hole.. but this is something that newbies have to learn over time.. its not something that you are born with... its just another one of those thing you have to learn.. I am working with someone that is setting up a domain and they asked me how it worked.. I am not an expert on this.. but I will give you what I believe happens.. your register a domain.. when you register it you give it a name server.. when someone types in the domain it goes to a computer on the net that gives it directions.. to that name server.. when it gets to that name server the name server says ok this is where the domain name is on what box.. it can even be be the same box as the name server.. how does the name server know where it is? It is set up by your host or if you run you own box it is set up by you.. You just bought 500 pictures it came in the mail on cd.. you also got a lic.. your all set and ready to go right.. wrong.. there is a couple of things you need to do. one is look at the paper work.. make sure it is what you agreed to.. second thing is make sure you dont have to sign it and send part of it back.. ok got that part finished.. now pop the cd in your machine and pop a blank one into your burner.. repeat this again.. you want to make sure you have 2 backups.. The next time you go to the store or out.. drop by a place with a copy machine.. and make a copy of the lic.. then the next time you go to the bank.. put a copy of the cd and lic in your safe deposit box.. dont have one.. well u need to have one.. anything important business lic.. picture of your computer.. and pictures of your house.. huh.. whats this got to do with one little content cd.. you should always have pictures of your house.. video is better.. but pictures work too. this is in case something happens you can prove to the insurance company that you had the stuff you say you had.. high dollar items you should have a copy of the recipt for insurance in the safe deposit box too.. remember this is a business and you have to keep records to the extreem..
