You haven't seen half of it. I will never forget the chats we used to have back in the days of BetaBrigade where Sleazybear would turn up and give us incredible methods, tips and secrets for hours on end. The guy just never runs out of stuff, it's amazing. What is more amazing is that all his stuff works !

Do what I do and copy and paste all of SB's tips into a catalog/document. You will need to break it up into sections, but make sure you record everything he writes in there. I still look back at my SB folder

With BetaBrigade everyone was on the same level, I knew where ever webmaster was at in learning, on a board its a little harder. I have been asked many times why don't I write a book, I would but the problem is everday I have a new idea or something I want to try and this industry changes so fast, it is sometimes hard to keep up with it and any book I would write I am afraid would be outdated in a couple of months.

GoneApeShit I teach the basics on the newbie board, with a little bit of novice stuff here and there.. to get into the really technical stuff it takes a webmaster about a year to get the simple stuff..

If you think in fragments, so does everyone else, including me. You put a title in each fragment, arrange the fragments in some coherent order, then finally, you fill in the wholes. It's similar to writing a long research (college) paper.

Writing a book, or some information website, puts everything there. Fragments are not scattered all over God's green earth. I just read this 4-page thread, and granted, I learned a few things, but there are a lot of questions on my mind that have gone unanswered. I'm sure you have the answer, somewhere. But it would be nice if I just have one or two books, or one information website that I can reference so that all or most of my questions can get answered. You will agree that you don't have all the answers.

Here's just some of the questions that I need answered:
1) Will a sponsor allow a webmaster to have multiple sponsors, like I want to do?
2) To get a URL going, I know I have to point my DNS servers to a nameserver and get assistance from the nameserver owners to let me in, but what else do I have to do? What is a host record?
3) What software is best to encode a MiniDV video into an XviD codec video? I tried encoding with several different software vendors, but they look like crap.
4) How do you know that the license you are buying is real (not fraudulent)?
5) Other than from a lawyer, how can I acquire a generic model release form that I can customize? (Question's probably way out in left field)

That's all I can think of right now.

I recommend you guys insert target=blank on your codes so when a newbie, such as myself, clicks on your banner sig, I won't navigate away from netpond.

If there's a reason why you guys purposely do not do this, enlighten me.

You can use any sponcer you choose except if you use a sponcers hosting, or if you use there content

Theonly thing you need to do is on the domain point it to the host primary and secondary dns, they should handle the rest

When dealing with video free site should be wmv format paysite should be mpg or wmv, anything else the surfer had to much wait time to load

Every content provider has there own, let anyone suspect that the content does not belong to them, and it will hit the webmaster boards will light up and ruin the content provider

There is one on netpond somewhere but sence the server move, I will have to get with the powers that be and find it for you..

I'd like my site to be free AND pay. I want to give the surfer the opportunity to purchase any video. But to acquire and keep the traffic, I want to give them free stuff.

The free (and pay) stuff will be either in an avi or wmv format, rather than mpeg. I have a freeware avi/wmv movie splitter and joiner. When it comes to splitting and rejoining files, avi and wmv formats are best. You can rejoin these split files and not see evidence that they've been split. I actually tried a shareware mpeg joiner, and the results look like crap. Thank goodness I didn't pay for the thing. I'll deal with mpegs only if I don't have to split them. I'll give my surfers instructions on how to retrieve/install the codecs and use the freeware utilities that I will provide them. I hope to make it worth their while.

My freeware movie splitter and joiner may not be the best out there. Do you have recommendations?

I have a strategy for my surfers, that I won't disclose just yet, that will eliminate/reduce the need for high speed internet access to view my movies.

Regarding the model release form, eventually, I'd like to take on film production.

use your site without having to download any extra pluggins as
people don't want to have to wait or learn anything. They just
want porn, now.

This is what I found on why the script is not placed:

A: That means when a surfer visits AmateurPages, your site and all of its pages need to be GONE from the surfer's computer. We want BUY the surfer, not BORROW him.
