Wow, just got done reading this whole thread, not sure if I have time to actually do anything now ! There's some awesome tips here and lots of little things that are going to help heaps.

Thomas, do you have a 12 week plan, or do you just have 12 weeks worth of tips to post ?

I'm looking forward to the traffic sources post, hopefully I'll have a blog built and ready to try some new methods.

When you make a dollar store themed sort of site, do you sell only $1 memberships, or do you mix it up and have multiple sponsors and price levels?

No on those I try to keep it everything either free or $1 trials. And I usually send a lot of Google and Yahoo traffic to them and that works great with that traffic. I am going to be making posts in this thread about Google Groups and Yahoo Groups and getting traffic from them.

When you set up a new blog at Thumblogger choose the theme with a editor. Then scroll all the way to the bottom and choose Bean

Choose a template (Step 2 of 3)

Scroll to the bottom and choose Bean

To be able to create pages choose the top one in that list that says

Standard ( Preview )

You can then create pages on this blog and link to them off any other blog or website you have.

One More Thing

On the section Box Moves you will need to go in and move the Pages Box to the right or the left for it to be visible.

Another Tip About Thumblogger

If you want to add video embedd codes easily to thumblogger you need to go to options and choose the editor

The old editor, blogger look

Then scroll to the bottom of that page and save.

The other editors do not allow you to easily add videos and this is the reason people have a problem.

Okay after you read the above thread lets continue here

Hubpages at http://hubpages.com is some what easier to work with than Squidoo. You can also add embedable videos to Hubpages while you can not to Squidoo. You can build pages at Hub Pages and go to Youtube or Google Video and get videos and add them to Hubpages. These build wonderful sticky content and a lot more important than a lot of people think. Surfers absolutly love celebrity videos. Love them. If you read the above thread then you may be considering adding celebrity sponsors to your line up of sponsors which is a great ideal especially if you are doing or planning to do a general sex blog. You can build Hub Pages say for Britney Spears , add videos from Google Video or Youtube and link from the Hubpage to your blog and to your sponsor. You can and should also link to each one of these Hub pages from your Sex Blog. You will be a round robin type of sites circle here. Joe Porn Surfer will arrive on one of your sites and hopefully go in a circle until he clicks and visits a sponsor link and pulls out the plastic and makes you happy.

You can also build Squidoo and Hubpages of a adult nature but you must mark them adult. Be sure if you build adult pages on either service that you mark them adult. It is a simple check box you check at both places.

Build Squidoo and Hub Pages about the breaking celebrity news story. Do it as fast as you see the story happening. Get your pages built and blog posts made. New Hub pages on Breaking Celebrity News get picked up very fast by Google and Yahoo. Extremly fast. You need to check out your titles carefully and use the breaking celebrity news item buzz words in your blog posts. Thomas, What sort of routine/software would you suggest for promoting sponsors that don't have RSS feeds? It seems like the options are:
1. Hand write posts and schedule them for later posting in Wordpress or Blog Organizer
2. Use RSS2Anywhere, Gallery2Blog, BlogPostBuilder (Seems the latter would be best as you can choose which image to post)
3. Use ZippedBlogs (though my sponsors are not included here)

I'm wondering which of the above options would be most efficient. Or, if there are other options to create posts in bulk for autoupdating my blogs.

Also, do you find it more effective to post a large image that links to the sponsor's tour, or a smaller image that links to a free hosted gallery - or a combination of both?

I try a combo of linking to either a sonsors movie gallery or a pic gallery. I rarely link to a tour. Sometimes you will find a pic and a pic or movie gallery combo that will convert much better than anything else. I use thumbnails in my blog posts to try to make everything load faster and this has always worked well for me.

Those tools work very well and I also create blogs on my own hosting that I use for nothing else but to use their feeds on my free hosted blog network. You can create a blog like this and use the feed from it to feed many more blogs. You go in and update that one blog and when you do it will update every blog you have that feed on. And this automation really works well.

I also save blog posts in text files and yes I reuse them some where else usually 3 months from now on a different blog and I don't think I have ever had a problem from duplicate content.

I like the thumblogger blogs for the simple fact they can be filled up with posts and set up so these posts will post a week or even longer into the future. It really works to get rid of a lot of stress.
