Adriaan: there are 10 good ways to redirect quickly. I described the one I use, but php redirects are just as good indeed.

Rvince, this is a great thread. Very good info, and I thank you for starting it. I have a question in regard to feeder sites..If you have one main blog, how many feeder blogs do you think is ideal? Its niche specific..is 3-5 a good # of feeders?

feeders?! the only "feeder" you need is Google :-)

All my blogs are "1st rank" blogs which directly catch traffic from Google, tease the surfers and direct them to paysites. nothing more, nothing less.

(again, I'm sure there are people out there making solid money from feeder blogs, but my technique is to concentrate my traffic on my actual blogs)

Sorry to bring this thread to new life again after 8 hours. First off very good points in this thread. I want to try something kinda like what rvince was talking about on one of my domains. Currently there is wp on the root. (looking for opinions here) what would be better? subdomains with wp installed on all, folders with wp in all?, or folders/subs with wpmu?

Rvince, so you mean use quality over quantity? More keywords hand written blogs with fresh content daily? 3x a week? every other day? What is your feel on free blogger services like Thumblogger and the like?

And I guess 2nd question in regard to that. How many sites do you promote off one blog? 3 or 4 good?

I'm using a separate domain with WP installed at the root for each blog.
Don't bother using different subdirectories.

that was my first rule in the tutorial, let me write that again:

1- get your own hosting and your own domain (NO FREE HOSTING! EVER!), and install wordpress on it.

- I mean if you don't have enough time, it's better to update your blogs only once every 15 days with one long (15+ lines) good article rather than posting 3-4 lines of generic sales text every 3 days. Stop thinking about keyword frequency until your a seasoned webmaster. if you text is long enough it will contain enough keywords anyway.

- I wouldn't start a blog on a topic where I can't promote at least 5 sites on it. Actually I promote over 10 sites (or plan to on my most recent blogs) on all my blogs.

You talked about a wordpress post scheduler...

Is there a plugin for this? Because I don't see this functionality in standard wordpress and the wordpress plugin doesn't seem to have one either.

you can edit the post time manually in wordpress to make it post your entry whenever you want in the future

no plugin need for that!! just add the date you want to publish on the post...

Bump bump for awsome tutorial

I checked out your blog rvince and I saw that you have aligned thumbnails very nicely. Do you use some plugin for that(I know there was one but I never got hang of it) or you just do it with that visual text editor that I have turned off?

Nope, just using the visual text editor, uploading images one by one. I've tried a few 'batch image upload' plugins but they all sucked more (not working, not creating thumbnails, ...) than the visual editor...
If anybody can advise a good image uploading plugin, I'm interested...
