<p>Lets Start out A nice Vector Boat.<br>
<br> This is quite easy to do, I think no-one will have problems if they follow this tutorial as I say.<br> <br> 1) Lets start a 500x500 pixels new image<br> <br> 2) Now, lets make a Rectangle<br> <br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/step1.gif" width="800" height="593"><br> 3) Alright, now that you have the rectabgle done, hit the "Direction Selection Tool".<br> Now, on the preview pic, you can see two stars.Thats the position you will have to "right-click", and chose "Add Anchor Point".<br> After you do this, you will have 6 Anchor Points - The four Corners of the Rectangle and the two new ones you did.<br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/step2.gif" width="800" height="593"><br> 4) Now all you have to do it start dragging those anchor points, and make it look like something below:<br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/step3.gif" width="800" height="593"><br> 5) No, add a new Rectangle, big and more "square" style.<br> Hit the "Direction Selection Tool" once again, and one of the top corners, right click on the anchor point, and delete it. (Green Arrow)<br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/step4.gif" width="800" height="593"><br> 6) It should look like this now:<br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/step5.gif" width="800" height="593"><br> Now, add three anchor points, where the arrows are, and drag them so they look like this:<br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/step6.gif" width="800" height="593"><br> Now add a "Rounded Border Rectangle", use the corners to Free Style its look, just like below:<br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/step7.gif" width="800" height="593"><br> Now, do whatever you want, this is how mine looked like:<br> <img border="0" src="http://www.triplex-studios.com/netpond/vector_boat/final.jpg" width="800" height="464"><br> <br> Hope this was usefull so you get started with Vector Shapes <br><br> Absolute Porn</p> __________________

Just a Poor Uni Student!
|
Heres a simple tutorial i made today (due to having to utilise it myself) i hope someone can find a use for it
![]() Stencil Effect with Any Text First off we need to write whatever text we will be using - im using Netpond for this example in a postit font. Next we need to Layer > Rasterize > Type. This allows us to move each part of the text individually (using the wizard wand and clicking each letter) to create something like this: ![]() Now we have this done, we can select the whole layer of text by command clicking - or shift and wand clicking each letter. We then go Select > Inverse. ![]() We then want to Layer > New Layer. Select brush tool, and type as "Dissolved". Paint the shape desired in thinking of the text as a stencil. After you are happy, delete the 2nd layer on your list (the text) Final product: ![]() Its a cool effect. Thats rushed, but with a bit of time it can look really scatty and effective. Alex |
