TUTORIAL: Adding embedded videos to your blog or site!

We wrote up a short guide on adding embedded videos to your blogs or sites.

Basic tutorial for incorporating embedded video into your existing WordPress blog.

Sign in to WordPress back end.

Setup:

Plugins -> Raw HTML capability version 1.0.1 activated.

Users -> Your Profile -> Personal Options -> all unchecked.

Options -> Writing -> Formatting: all unchecked.

Posting Video:

Write -> Write Post->

Title... taken from "Description: on NATS.

Post: should have tags like the following around it:



Post the embedded code here
(For Spartan Dollars: From Ad Tools-> Show Ad Tools -> Embedded -> Movies -> Get source -> copy and paste Source here.)



Copy and paste "Big Description:" text here.

Next, select appropriate categories or as need be create new categories.

Publish.

And you're done!

See a running example on FreeFetishblog.com, the following is real code generated for you by NATS that is inserted in between the following two tags.

Whats the purpose of the javascript code?
What does this do thats different than just copying the embed code into the 'html' view in wordpress?

Is this a script to play embedded video that you are hosting yourself? Is it validated xhtml?
