This is what I'm gonna talk about in this tutorial.

It's one tactic in the process called 'reverse psychology' or what the ad men would call 'reactance advertising'. This is, in effect, creating an emotional response against ad by imposing an implied restriction, like a child that's been told 'not to touch the valuables', and immediately wants to do so!

Part of the effect is curiosity and the implication of scarcity, but the core reaction is 'why shouldn't I?' By creating a preceived restriction or limit, you challenge the reader's freedom and incite him/her to prove you wrong.

Yes, most of us are build with that 'freedom' value ingrained deep in us. So, any attempt to limit our freedom will result of us being reactanct.

So, how to use this in your niche market.

Here's a step by step:

1. Identify the niche market precisely so you can see some articles and get more knowledge about the subject. Mike Mendel from Thirty Day Challenge compiled a great tutorial about finding niche markets.

Let's take for example the car market.

2. Ideas to create a headline on your market:

- Create something contraversial, challenge the reader...
FUCK YOU I'll ALWAYS HAVE A BETTER CAR THAN YOU
YOUR CAR SUCKS BIG TIME
MY CAR IS BETTER THAN YOURS! Forever??!?!

These are some ideas, but you get the idea

Forbid him something:
- Don't buy this car ever in your life
- Don't click on this car picture
- It's highly RECOMMENDED you don't click on this link...seriously
or use FORBIDDEN often...you're forbidden to click this, don't dare to click this

Or maybe the simple, general and well known: DON'T CLICK THIS

Let's see how it applies in the porn industry (I'm just brainstorming ideas):
- I don't want you to masturbate 3 times a day, that's why YOU SHOULDN'T VISIT THIS SITE
- XXX Videos you're not allowed to see (reason in the file)

Or use scarcity (to let them know something's very limited):
- I will give you this offer now, this page will appear NOW and NEVER AGAIN

You should be careful when playing with links. Blind links may get you lots of clicks, but your ratios are going to suck big time. You won't more than clicks - you want conversions.

Was just going to say that. It definately gets people to click but then you are not 'educating" the user in what they are getting on the next page.
