That's a good point. I guess you could submit them individually or in groups, altering the text each time. A randomize tool might be interesting though.

I did some analysis before on what is "natural links" -- took some sites like whitehouse.gov or dell.com which really get natural links and presumably have no paid links. if you analyze the anchor text they have coming it it is amazingly random --

Look at this bunch for dell.com:

And of course there is a natural distribution to the frequency.

Hence it is REALLY easy to spot non-natural linking because the frequency distribution is entirely off.

Therefore now I make a big effort to throw in lots of variations in anchor text, and including some "click here" and stuff like that.

Nipplebyte has always seemed to get close to the point of timing out before spitting back a response. The server seems to act goofy from time to time even loading it in the browser.

Right now it seems Social Smut is the one down at the moment which might cause a little bit of a delay, so check the site to see if it is up before checking it in the list of sites to submit to if you use them.

I may look into lowering the time the program waits in the future for a response from the server but the way some sites are and the way it changes day to day it seems.

This forum really needs an edit feature, or I am really blind! Forgot to add that I did release an update that adds some nifty things such as with the add site tool you can now use it to remove categories from sites for quicker selection of the ones you do use, tweaks to the code and changed the timeout from 1 minute to 30 seconds. No more hanging for Nipplebyte

rhete, would you build me a randomizer function in this thing? Like this...

For every text string submitted (e.g. title, description, maybe not tags)
Each time it is submitted to a bookmarking site
For each character
if random() > somethreshold then
Do one of for different randomings:
1 : swap the character with the preceding character to simulate mistyping
2 : swap the character for a similar character (e/a, t/k, p/b) to simulate misspelling
3 : swap the character for a close-keyboard character (a/s, g/h) to simulate mistyping
4 : drop the character mistyping

This would avoid the duplicate anchor text concern, and maybe lead to some misspelling traffic!

If you don't think it is a generally useful feature I'll pay you to do it for me, and you can still include it in your general release.
